JOY OF LIFE, 1969-1996 / child at death's door, california saved my life

+HOW MANY TIMES+
>before the age of ten was i in an oxygen<
>tent , >gasping for breath<, from asthma<

>once almost dying, waiting for a train to<

+WERE THE JOYS  OF LIFE+

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
>some >conpensation< for those youthful<
>memories of acute suffering in the damp<
+TWICE I HAD TO DROP+
+OUT OF ELEM SCHOOL+
>nights when i had to >sit up all night< as<
>lung congestion >prevented lying down< ?

+UNIVERSITY+
>was also difficult from illness at tulane /<
>in the hospital< several times finally the<
