Gene- it is always an honor to be remembered as one of the pirates of the SliverShip crew
ReplyDelete(Mario/Dave/Jack/Dennis); a life-changing moment when pulled into the building's construction by my brother Dave Fobes. It started my career as a hammerhead- & Ive been pounding my head against the proverbial nail ever since. Not famous, not rich, just lucky... which leads me to want to clarify my luck at being one of the Chemosphere restoration crew working for another friend (Oliver Garrett Construction) who was the gentleman most responsible for a spectacular job for the owner, Benedikt Taschen. Oliver was the man who carried the weight & bore the pressure of restoring one of the world's great houses. Again, I was just lucky to be at the right place, right time with the right people. It was a good time but nothing like the first gig- erecting the SilverShip. Its a seminal moment- like losing it in the backseat at the drive-in! Much love & much respect to you & always to Dave.
